I moved to Brooklyn after graduating from the University of North Texas with a degree in International Studies, focusing on Middle Eastern and African regional politics. As the child of military parents, I lived in many places around the world for short periods, but New York has become the place I've called home the longest. My nomadic upbringing fuels my curiosity and passion for learning about the world around me.
My journey into coding began after moving to New York, where I interned as a design assistant for Garrick Gott. During that time, I designed beautiful art books for major publishers and worked on branding for Printed Matter's NY and LA Art Book Fairs. Already intrigued by coding, I started creating quick websites for books and projects as a fun challenge.
A few years later, I decided to fully commit and attended the Web Development Immersive program at General Assembly in Washington, D.C. After completing the program, I built websites for friends and soon joined For Office Use Only, a small but mighty design studio in Manhattan. From there, I moved on to Athletics, where Iβve had a rewarding career helping shape their technology capabilities and mentoring the team.
Outside of work, I enjoy playing music and was the singer and guitarist for the infamous world-touring punk band B Boys. We released several vinyl records, played at high-profile festivals, and toured across the U.S., Canada, the U.K., and Europe. These days, Iβm happily settled at home and have discovered new passions to keep me inspired.
Iβm a dedicated martial artist, studying Jeet Kune Do, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and occasionally Muay Thai. Lover of alliteration. Amateur photographer. Iβll take a cappuccino any time of day. Imaginative stories fuel my creativityβIβm an avid reader and a full-blown cinephile, you can catch me at some of my favorite art house cinemas any Sunday.
